Aalborg University

Aalborg University (AAU) is a Danish public university recognized for its emphasis on research and interdisciplinary collaboration in fields such as engineering, technology, and social sciences. The department engaged in this project, BUILD - Department of the Built Environment, is Denmark’s largest institute within civil engineering and the built environment. Among other areas of expertise, AAU-BUILD has advanced capabilities in developing cutting-edge technologies for heating, cooling, energy storage, and control systems for buildings and urban districts.

VIA University College

VIA University College was established in 2008 as a result of a number of mergers of institutes of higher educations. The programs, courses and research activities focus on professional practice in areas such as healthcare, social education, technology, business, and design.

In the HEATCODE project, VIA will be represented by the Research Centre for the Built Environment, Energy, Water, Climate. The Centre has 31 employees with professional competencies in the fields of storage, recycling, and development of resources, with a particular focus on geothermal energy and modelling, energy storage and water resources.

GeoDrilling

GeoDrilling as a brand has operated on the market for establishing shallow geothermal boreholes since 2010. The customers have primarily been single family households exchanging oil or gas boilers with geothermal heat pumps. 
Since 2014 GeoDrilling has been advocating thermonet as a way to reduce the necessary investment in boreholes. The company has been involved in establishing 9 of the current 13 registered thermonets in Denmark.

METRO THERM

METRO THERM is Northern Europe's largest manufacturer of hot water production units. The range of products covers all forms of hot water and heating irrespective of the heat source. Products include water heaters, district heating units, pellet stoves and heat pumps. 
METRO THERM is committed to actively participating in society, aiming to be more than just a manufacturer but also a contributor to a sustainable and inclusive future. To align with this commitment, METRO THERM has identified six of the United Nations' 17 sustainable development goals as key focus areas.

PlanEnergi

PlanEnergi is an independent institution whose purpose is to promote the use of resource-saving and environment-preserving systems. We want to promote this through commercial activities within renewable energy, rational energy utilization and energy planning as well as information activities.
Strategic energy planning has developed to climate planning where net zero emissions is the target and strong stakeholder involvement and integration in municipal and regional planning is a must.
